Las Cacatúas Parlantes: un proyecto que reúne actores de entre 8 y 16 años, improvisaciones, ejercicios de percepción del espacio, expresión corporal y espectáculos pensados y trabajados a conciencia. Ceguera y videncia, integración, creatividad y perseverancia son los ingredientes que se encuentran en esta agrupación teatral de la O.N.C.E. en Almería, desde hace 23 años. Entrevistamos a Loreto Suárez, directora de la agrupación.

¿Qué es Las Cacatúas Parlantes? Es el nombre de la Agrupación teatral infantil de la O.N.C.E en Almería. Se creó hace 23 años cuando la O.N.C.E de Almería apostó por un proyecto nuevo. Un taller de teatro para niños ciegos y con deficiencias visuales. La idea surgió a raíz de mi experiencia con el grupo de adultos con el que colaboraba, también de la ONCE. El nombre lo eligieron los primeros niños que participaron en la actividad. El principal objetivo es la integración, por ello la actividad está abierta no solo a los afiliados a la O.N.C.E también a niños con otro tipo de discapacidad y niños sin discapacidad. En todo este tiempo han pasado por la actividad unos doscientos niños y hemos realizado veintidós producciones, alrededor de cien representaciones por toda la geografía española participando en programaciones de diferentes instituciones y muestras de teatro infantil. El mayor logro de la actividad es el cariño que muestran hacia ella todos los que han formado parte de esta gran familia llamada “Las Cacatúas Parlantes”. ¿Cuál es tu papel en su gestión? La de dirección de la actividad. Esta genera una serie de tareas con unos objetivos a alcanzar: dotar a los miembros de grupo de herramientas que les ayuden a relacionarse, tanto en el ámbito cultural como social. Para ello, se pretende configurar una actividad con una programación continuada que incluya, fundamentalmente, dos tipos de objetivos específicos en función de su expectativa de logro: unos de carácter artístico que habrán de conseguirse a lo largo del ejercicio en curso (un año) y otros de carácter social (relacional, desarrollo de habilidades sociales, etc.), en un periodo de intervención plurianual. En cuanto a los primeros, se incluyen el aprendizaje básico del arte teatral de un modo divertido, que facilita la desinhibición y el desarrollo de capacidades creativas. Las puestas en escena de las producciones teatrales culminadas son el resultado de estos objetivos concretos: dar a conocer la actividad, socializar a sus componentes, integrarlos como miembros activos y creativos de la sociedad. Todo ello, de forma inmediata, influye en la autoestima, tanto individual como colectiva, de los miembros del grupo. Los segundos persiguen alcanzar la integración de los componentes dentro del grupo, sean cuales sean sus características particulares, mediante el aumento de los diferentes registros de habilidades sociales de cada uno de los componentes. Las Cacatíuas Parlantes en la VI Muestra de Teatro Infantil y Juvenil de la O.N.C.E. (Septiembre 2014) ¿Qué edad tienen los participantes? En la O.N.C.E de Almería la actividad teatral se divide en tres grupos. Un taller infantil de iniciación con edades comprendidas entre los seis y ocho años. En la agrupación teatral infantil “Las Cacatúas Parlantes” las edades oscilan entre los ocho y los dieciséis años ampliándose el margen en determinadas discapacidades. La agrupación teatral de adultos “Cuarta Pared” desde los dieciocho en adelante. No hay límite de edad. ¿Cómo es el proceso creativo? Las sesiones están orientadas a desarrollar las diferentes capacidades de los asistentes mejorando su psicomotricidad y percepción del espacio realizando ejercicios de desinhibición, juego imaginado, expresión corporal, improvisaciones y en el caso de los niños enfocándolas de una manera lúdica utilizando el juego como herramienta. Debemos de tener en cuenta que el juego es el mecanismo principal por el que el niño o la niña adquiere su aprendizaje y con el cual se expresa con libertad. Así pues trabajamos a partir del juego. Del mismo modo funcionamos de manera participativa. Siempre teniendo en cuenta el punto de vista y las apetencias de los niños. Las obras que ponemos en escena son el resultado de estas sesiones, en las que los niños han plasmado sus gustos y su faceta creativa. Con estas ideas elaboro el guion y comenzamos los ensayos de la obra. En esta etapa los niños realizan improvisaciones de los personajes y situaciones del texto y es una de las etapas más creativas pues están creando un personaje a través de las vivencias que les marca el texto. Las puestas en escena de las obras es el resultado de todo este proceso creativo. Las Cacatíuas Parlantes en la VI Muestra de Teatro Infantil y Juvenil de la O.N.C.E. (Septiembre 2014) 2 ¿Con qué frecuencia se ensaya y dónde? Tenemos dos encuentros semanales: viernes y sábados todo el año descansando los meses de verano; Julio y Agosto. ¿Cuáles son los requisitos mínimos para formar parte del grupo? Todos los niños y jóvenes afiliados a la O.N.C.E, y niños y jóvenes no afilados que tengan algún vínculo (familiares, hijos de trabajadores, etc.). ¿Qué producciones resaltarías? Esta es una pregunta difícil, es como preguntar ¿Qué hijo quieres más? Todas y cada una de las producciones son el resultado de un trabajo, en el que han participado y sobre todo se han ilusionado muchas personas, tanto niños como adultos, y todas en su momento han conseguido el objetivo de la actividad, emocionar a todo el que ha formado parte de ella incluido el público. ¿Qué tipo de público acude a las representaciones? Público familiar. Las obras tanto las infantiles como la de adultos las solemos orientar a todo tipo de público. Pretendemos que la actividad esté abierta a todo el mundo realizando obras divertidas y entretenidas. ¿Con que te quedas de esta experiencia? Pues yo diría con todo pero por señalar algo, con todos los que de marera directa o indirecta han formado parte de esta gran familia llamada “Las Cacatúas Parlantes”.
