Este es el caso del proyecto de la Fundación Música Abierta: La Danza Interactiva convierte el cuerpo en un instrumento que produce música bella y agradable para los oídos. Se trata de una de las bendiciones que ofrece la inteligencia artificial unida a una de las características más humanas: la conjunción de la música y la danza.

El programa informático Motion Composer, desarrollado en Alemania por Robert Weschler y Joseph Dietz e impulsado en España por la Fundación Música Abierta, solo requiere de un portátil, una cámara web y unos altavoces. Todo lo demás, lo ponen las personas que quieran sentir a través de su movimiento, el gozo de crear música. Como dice Robert Weschler “Usar Motion Composer no es como encender la música y bailar por la habitación. Porque cuando hacemos sonidos a través de nuestros gestos, se altera nuestra propiocepción (…) Cuando los sonidos que creamos resultan agradables a nuestros oídos y somos conscientes de haberlos creado nosotros, se crea una respuesta automática en nosotros: alegría, confianza, curiosidad…”.

La verdadera belleza de este programa consiste en acercar la música a personas que jamás podrán tocar un instrumento musical, debido a una discapacidad motriz severa, pero a los que también conmueve y divierte la creación musical. Pero el público potencial es muy amplio: personas con una deficiencia visual y auditiva, Autismo, Asperger, Alzheimer y otras demencias, Parkinson, Síndrome de Down, Hiperactividad… y seamos sinceros: personas sin ninguna dificultad aparente, con ganas de experimentar y una larga trayectoria de aprendizaje musical sin éxito.

Los autores de Motion Composer hablan de beneficios tales como la generación de percepción corporal y orientación espacial, mejora de la coordinación y apoyo a la inclusión en el juego de niños con y sin discapacidad. Rosa Madrigal, directora de la Fundación Música Abierta nos cuenta: “La principal labor de este sistema es emocional y social, ya que ofrece una oportunidad sin precedentes para la expresión emocional y la relación y comunicación con el mundo. Sin olvidar que también ofrece un interesante trabajo terapéutico a nivel físico, en un marco lúdico y creativo. Se puede trabajar a nivel individual pero también grupal, y esto ofrece muchas posibilidades”. Tanto lo uno como lo otro son palabras mayores.

Si un centro está interesado en obtener este programa, debe ponerse en contacto con la Fundación Música Abierta. Los creadores de Motion Composer darán un curso de formación de 3 días para el aprendizaje de su uso. En la actualidad dos centros en España utilizan este programa: UPACE (Unión de Parálisis Cerebral de San Fernando, Cádiz) cuenta con él desde hace dos años gracias a la financiación de la Fundación La Caixa, beneficiándose más de ciento cincuenta usuarios con parálisis cerebral y el Centro Sanagua Aspace Zamora (Asociación de Parálisis Cerebral de Zamora), que lo aplica a 6 usuarios con desde hace unos meses (con vistas a ampliación), gracias a la financiación de la Fundación Telefónica y la farmacéutica Lilly. Este centro nos cuenta: “Nuestra impresión sobre la Danza Interactiva es muy buena, puesto que mediante esta técnica se pueden abordar y complementar muchos aspectos en el trabajo de la rehabilitación, ocio, autoconocimiento, autoestima, motivación, etc. Aparte de que se puede aplicar para personas de cualquier edad y cualquier tipo de persona, tanto con o sin discapacidad”.

Son muchos los particulares que colaboran con una donación cada año, permitiendo la difusión de herramientas como esta y otros proyectos de la Fundación Música Abierta.

La Fundación Música Abierta tiene como objetivo fomentar la participación musical de personas con alguna discapacidad, por lo que también cuenta con un proyecto editorial muy interesante, en colaboración con la Junta de Castilla y León: “Los Cuadernos de Música para Discapacidades” en los que se publican piezas de compositores contemporáneos de reconocido prestigio especialmente escritas para personas con una hemiplejia en la mano derecha que deseen aprender a tocar el piano (aunque una vez más, cualquier persona puede disfrutar tocándolas).
